The Cannon Adds Experienced Investor, Entrepreneur and Real Estate Developer to Board of Directors

The Cannon, a growing entrepreneurial community with six workspaces across South Texas and a global digital community (Cannon Connect) with hundreds of startups and small businesses, announces today the appointment of Jimmy McClure to the Board of Directors.

McClure's vast experience in Real Estate and Software development brings a unique passion to the direction of The Cannon. Currently an Angel Investor in Galveston-based tech startups like CryptoEQ, McClure has founded five other companies focusing on Real Estate development, Tourism, and Crypto and will be a key contributor to The Cannon's rapidly expanding physical and digital entrepreneurial footprint.

"The Cannon is blessed to have a fantastic Board of Directors with a vision and commitment that is in full alignment with our vision for the future of the business. It took us about 10 minutes working with Jimmy on jumpstarting the growth of the entrepreneurial community in Galveston to recognize that our partnership with him was destined to grow into a highly valued and trusted relationship. We are very excited that Jimmy has agreed to join The Cannon Board and play an active and dynamic role in not only The Cannon's expansion to Galveston but the overall future direction of our business.” said Jon Lambert, CEO of The Cannon.

"It is an honor to join The Cannon Board of Directors, especially right now! Bringing curated entrepreneurial programming to the property management space has incredible potential and The Cannon is well-positioned to lead the way with this exciting new managed service. I am also thrilled to be a part of the evolution of Cannon Connect as it grows into the entrepreneur's social networking platform! Both concepts are progress and timely with enormous potential and in combination they will be game-changing for the entrepreneurial customer/ecosystem."

McClure has already been involved with the Galveston startup ecosystem, having launched the MarMo project in downtown Galveston to bring together various Galveston ecosystem players to develop entrepreneurial, social, and community outreach programming in a welcoming place.
