The Cannon Teams Up with Chevron Technology Ventures to Trigger Innovation in Houston

[Houston, Texas | January 22, 2019] The Cannon, a co-working space and entrepreneurial hub on the west side of Houston, has announced a partnership with Chevron’s corporate venture capital group, Chevron Technology Ventures (CTV). The Cannon is set to become the epicenter of a new 30+ acre campus 15 miles west of Downtown Houston that aims to help Houston-based startups, entrepreneurs and investors grow and scale. The Cannon is also home to Cannon Ventures, the coupling of a venture studio and an investor network that seeks to further support local startups.

“We are always trying to surround our members with as much support and as many resources as possible to help them succeed. Chevron’s engagement with our community will help further these efforts in a really exciting way,” said Lawson Gow, Founder & CEO of The Cannon. CTV will have permanent office space and hold regular office hours at the Cannon’s new location.
Already home to over a hundred companies in its “waiting room”, The Cannon will soon open its newly built doors to hundreds more startups and companies here in 2019, and CTV will further integrate into the fabric of Houston’s startup ecosystem through participation in the Cannon’s networking events that foster relationship-building across the startup and investment communities.
