The Cannon Brings Access to Healthcare Benefits to Its Community

New offerings give early stage entrepreneurs and small business access to benefits normally held for employees of larger companies.

[Houston, Texas - November 8, 2021] The Cannon, an online entrepreneurial community with physical workspaces across Houston, is proud to announce that it has established a high-quality menu of benefits that are now available to Cannon Members. Individuals and small businesses have limited access to quality benefits, which is a barrier to both entry and growth for small businesses across the United States. We offer every community member the opportunity to sign up for various benefits traditionally only provided to employees of much larger companies or via pathways that are financially prohibitive for startups and entrepreneurs.

According to U.S. Small Business Administration, over 58.9 million Americans are currently employed by small businesses, comprising nearly half of the entire private-sector workforce. One-third of all small businesses in the United States are sole proprietorships; however, the smaller the business, the less likely you are to offer health insurance. As of today, only 44 percent of employers with less than ten employees offer health insurance.

The Cannon’s CEO, Jon Lambert, explains The Cannon’s healthcare benefits: “The Cannon is committed to finding solutions to the most significant challenges and barriers to entrepreneurial success. Access to high-quality, affordable health, life, and retirement benefits is on the top of that list of challenges for existing startups and small businesses, as well as individuals who have a desire to set out and build something of their own but are nervous about leaving a job that provides those benefits. Through an exciting partnership and numerous providers, The Cannon has created a flexible and affordable benefits program available to anyone that is part of The Cannon Community and their families—from the individual sole proprietor to the small business looking to provide coverage for existing employees and as a valuable resource as they look to grow and hire additional employees in a very competitive labor market. We have created this program for our community with the goal of solving the critical need for medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurances, and many other benefits while allowing their focus to remain on innovation, creation, and business success."

This program enables startups and small businesses to focus on creating, building, and growing businesses with the confidence that their healthcare and retirement needs are covered. All Cannon members, workspace and virtual, have access to apply for benefits. There are several programs available, such as health, dental, vision, and retirement, among others. Through these programs, we’re able to provide our members with access to the largest health network via no deductible plans.

Join The Cannon Community to access these benefits! Make the switch before your healthcare plans renew. Visit https://www.thecannon.com/entrepreneurs to learn more.
